The Spanish chef Dabiz Muñoz has been chosen as the 'best chef in the world' for the third time by leading the world Top 100 of 'The Best Chef Awards 2023', at a gala held in Yucatán (Mexico).

Specifically, the creator of DiverXO, StreetXO and RavioXO, which has three Michelin stars, has once again revalidated the title in this ranking prepared with the votes of chefs and professionals in the sector.

"Best chef in the world 2023, dreams come true if you fight for them, if you believe in yourself and always look for your best version. Thanks to life, gastronomy, my colleagues, The Best Chef Awards and my teamsXO, you are incredible, this is thanks to you, I love you and I admire you," said the Madrid chef on his Instagram profile.

The podium of this international competition included the also Spanish Albert Adriá (Enigma), who placed in second position, only behind Muñoz, while the Slovenian Ana Ros took third place.

Spanish gastronomy has been present in the 'top 10' with Andoni Luis Aduriz (Mugaritz) in fifth place, Barcelona's Enjoy, in seventh, Joan Roca (Celler de Can Roca), in eighth.

Also included in this ranking are Angel León (13), the brothers Javier and Sergio Torres (20), Eneko Atxa (26), Quique Dacosta (30), Diego Guerrero (42), Paco Roncero (60) and the Córdoban Paco Morales ( 82).

'The Best Chef Awards' is a project launched by the Polish neuroscientist Joanna Slusarczyk and the Italian gastronome Cristian Gadau that gives priority to the votes of chefs through a list focused on chefs and based on the votes of professionals (chefs, journalists and traveling foodies).
