A drunken woman brought attention to neighbors in a Slate Belt neighborhood when she pulled over, knocked on the door of a home and then drove away, police said.

Charged is Laura Jade, no age provided, of Phillipsburg.

Slate Belt Regional police officers were dispatched at 1:37 a.m. Friday to the 1300 block of Colony Lane in Plainfield Township for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers found a vehicle matching the description parked diagonally on Benders Church Road -- a close distance from Colony Lane. Jade exhibited signs of intoxication and failed field tests, according to police.

She was charged with drunken driving and taken to the DUI processing center.
