Pounding rain has caused some street flooding in Lake Balboa and Encino, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The two right eastbound lanes of Burbank Boulevard, east of Balboa Boulevard, have been closed, the LAPD said.

This stretch of Burbank Boulevard through the Sepulveda Dam Basin is designed to flood during heavy storms.

The entire street behind the Encino and Balboa golf courses may have to be closed at some point from Balboa to Burbank Boulevard.
