Yes, you get an interesting discount, but you also help the clubs to be able to benefit from the sums of money more quickly, coming from the sale of access rights.

To explain the reality of the clubs, here are examples of the Backcountry club. Last year, the club reconstructed the Carmichael Lake Outlet Bridge on Trail 369 out of “Seminary Lands”. The cost of the project, $128,000, was realized with the help of grants from the FCMQ and the MFFP. To have safe and standard access, a culvert had to be replaced at a cost of $30,000. This season, thanks to the financial assistance of the Fédération and the Séminaire de Québec, a new bypass on the Côte du Bell will make it possible to avoid the transport of wood, as was the case on the old segment. Project cost, $32,000. Two other bridges will need to be replaced shortly ($325,000) as well as a resurfacer, the cost of which is estimated at $415,000 in 2022. This is the reality of a club in Quebec. It is to help them – like all the others in the same situation – that the Federation asks snowmobilers to take their right of access early. The money is available more quickly for the clubs, which have a lot of expenses at the start of the season.
