ALBANY -- A 32-year-old man allegedly entered a grocery store Thursday night, put a customer in a choke hold, pushed something into her back and told the store clerk, "Give me the money or I'll kill her," city police said.

The assailant went behind the counter of the Halal Market at 264 Central Avenue and tried to open the register before he was arrested at 9:22 p.m., Albany police records state.

Albany resident Odale H. Cheatham faces a felony robbery charge.

Victims cooperated with police and the entire incident was caught on camera, his arrest report states.
