Inditex will inaugurate a new Zara 'megastore' on Campos Elíseos (Paris) in the first half of next year, an establishment similar to that of Plaza de España (Madrid) and Battersea (London), as announced on Wednesday by the CEO of the group, Oscar Garcia Maceiras.

"They are the type of projects that we are focused on now," García Maceiras stressed in his speech at the analysts' conference as a reason for the company's results.

The new Zara in Paris, which will have a surface area of ​​6,000 square metres, will feature the latest innovations in this store model, including concept areas for lingerie, shoes and accessories, Zara Home, an online order silo, Store mode and a complete digital experience.

This new Zara 'superstore' located on the Champs Elysees will be the third of the group of these characteristics after inaugurating on October 14 the one in Battersea (London) and the one located in Plaza de España (Madrid), the largest in the world, with more than 7,700 square meters, open since April, shortly after Marta Ortega assumed the presidency of the group.

Inditex registered a net profit of 3,095 million euros during the first nine months of its 2022-2023 fiscal year (between February 1 and October 31), which represents an increase of 24% compared to a year earlier, according to The company reported this Wednesday.

Group sales amounted to 23,055 million euros, 19% more than in the same period of 2021 (20% at constant exchange rates) and were positive in all geographical areas.

In this way, Inditex reaches its historical maximum of sales and profit in a third quarter, after achieving a quarterly profit of 1,305 million and sales of 8,211 million.
