A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in a West Side alley Saturday morning during an attack that police said was possibly gang-related.

The man was in the 100 block of North Menard Avenue in the city's South Austin neighborhood about 6:55 a.m. when someone shot him in the head. He was found by responding officers lying on the ground in an alley and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

His name was not being made public yet.

The shooting may have been gang-related and no arrests have been made, police said.
