Montero warns of a "Madrid nationalism" that takes to the streets to claim "Catalonia steals from us"

MADRID, 27 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) -

The fourth and 'number two' vice president of the PSOE, María Jesús Montero, warned this Monday of a "kind of new Madrid nationalism" that, as she said, is taking to the streets in recent days to vindicate itself shouting "Catalonia gives us "steals or the Basque Country steals from us, attacking the press or claiming an alleged delegitimization of the democratic State."

He said this during his speech at an informative breakfast at the Nueva Economía Fórum, where he introduced the leader of the Basque socialists, Eneko Andueza, and took the opportunity to comment on the latest demonstrations these days in Madrid against the amnesty law.

"Regrettable attitudes when precisely what we seek is to strengthen our coexistence in democracy from respect for the law and the Constitution. Therefore, it would be good that in this new stage that has begun, all public officials commit to lowering the tension and dialectical noise. I think the citizens would appreciate it," Montero proclaimed.
