DUMONT - A Nevada man who returned to Bergen County for a recent visit won $100,000 playing online poker.

James Piccolo, 28, who moved to Las Vegas in 2015 to become a professional poker player, was at the home of his parents when he got lucky on Jan. 29, according to NorthJersey.com.

The win took just 15 minutes, according to Piccolo.

Piccolo was playing a popular "Spin & Go" format against two others at PokerStarsNJ.com, according to the news report. Piccolo's brother Matthew took video of the win and posted the recording to YouTube.

"We just won $100,000," Piccolo is heard saying on the video. "This didn't just happen."

According to NorthJersey.com, Piccolo was here to spend time with his father, who was due for surgery. After Piccolo's win, his father underwent successful surgery, according to the report.

New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada are the only three states that allow gambling. Seven states - California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania and Washington - have introduced bills to legalize online gaming, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
