Duo stole car from 91-year-old, burglarized schools, cops say

RUNNEMEDE -- Two borough men were arrested late last week in connection with the theft of a vehicle from a 91-year-old that later turned up abandoned in Camden, Runnemede police say.

Robert Cannon, 28, and Edward Scott 33, were arrested on Friday, Feb. 17 after a "lengthy investigation," police say.

The two are allegedly responsible for burglaries at the Mary E. Volz school and Triton Regional High School.

According to police, the duo also allegedly stole a motor vehicle from a 91-year-old victim, which was reported to police last week.

Cannon and Scott were each charged with three counts of burglary and theft and received an additional charge of theft for the stolen vehicle, which later turned up abandoned in Camden.
