Route 28 northbound has re-opened at the Highland Park Bridge following a multi-vehicle accident this afternoon, according to emergency officials and camera footage from 511pa.com.

The incident occurred at 3:44 p.m., an Allegheny County dispatcher said. Fire, police and EMS were called to the scene.

At least one person was transported, the dispatcher said.

Earlier camera footage from 511pa.com indicated that the vehicles collided near the Highland Park Bridge interchange with Route 28. Traffic was being diverted up the ramp toward the bridge.
