The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will meet this Monday with the president and CEO of Ericsson, Börje Ekholm, with the president and CEO of Nokia, Pekka Lundmark, and also with the Director of Operations and 'number two' of Meta , the Spanish Javier Oliván, within the framework of the Mobile World Congress that is being held in Barcelona until next Thursday.

The last time that Sánchez met officially with the CEO of Ericsson was in November 2022, a meeting held at the Moncloa Palace and which focused on reviewing the investment opportunities offered by European funds, in special, the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation of Microelectronics and Semiconductors, known as Perte Chip and endowed with about 12,000 million euros.

On the other hand, as he did in the previous edition of the Mobile World Congress, Sánchez will also hold a meeting this Monday with the 'number two' of Meta.

Although the Government's agenda does not detail what the conversation between the Chief Executive and the director of Meta will be about, after their meeting last year the American company reaffirmed its investment commitment in Spain.

Finally, the President of the Government will meet at around 12:30 p.m. with the CEO of Nokia, a company that at the end of last January presented its results for 2023, a year in which it reduced its net profit by 84.3% year-on-year. attributed, up to 665 million.

In addition, last October the company announced its intention to reduce its workforce by up to 14,000 employees until 2026 to reduce its cost base.
