The Ibex 35 was trading in the mid-session of this last day of October with a revaluation of 0.66% and with the majority of its values ​​positive, which led the selective to stand at 9,073.8 integers, in a day marked again due to the presentation of business results and the uncertainty about the consequences of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Before the start of the trading day, BBVA informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) that it closed the first nine months of 2023 with a net profit of 5,961 million euros, which is equivalent to an increase of 24.3 % Compared to the same period of the previous year.

Endesa, for its part, obtained a net profit of 1,059 million euros until September, which represents a drop of 35.9% compared to the 1,651 million euros in the same period last year, due to the lower presence of extraordinary items.

Likewise, Indra obtained a net profit of 146 million euros in the first nine months of the year, which represents an increase of 26% compared to the 116 million euros recorded in the same period of the previous year.

Also in the business field, the State Society of Industrial Participations (SEPI) confirmed this Tuesday to the CNMV that it is considering purchasing a stake in Telefónica.

In the macro section, before the market opened, it was known that the growth of the French economy slowed down in the third quarter of the year to 0.1%, compared to 0.6% in the previous quarter.

Subsequently, Eurostat has published that the interannual inflation rate of the euro zone moderated by 1.4 points in October compared to the previous month, thus reaching 2.9%, which represents the lowest price increase since July 2021, while the underlying rate was reduced by three tenths, to 4.2%.

However, the region's GDP registered a contraction of 0.1% in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the previous three months, which contrasts with the advance of 0.2% in the second part of the year. This is the first drop in quarterly GDP since the second quarter of 2020, in the midst of the Covid pandemic.

In this context, the biggest increases within the Ibex 35 were recorded by Cellnex (3.34%), Grifols (3.02%), Merlin (2.48%), Colonial (2.33%), ArcelorMittal (2. 15%) and Ferrovial (2.01%). On the other hand, Indra fell 1.60%, followed by BBVA (-0.85%) and Repsol (-0.32%).

The main European stock markets were also trading positively, with an increase of 1.38% in Milan, 0.98% in Paris, 0.55% in London and 0.53% in Frankfurt.

On the other hand, the price of a barrel of Brent quality oil, a reference for the Old Continent, stood at 88.21 dollars, 0.76% more, while that of Texas rose 0.68%, to $82.99.

In the currency market, the price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0662 'greenbacks', while the Spanish risk premium was around 107.1 basis points, with the interest required on the 10-year bond at 3,860%.
