Honored for his 40-year career, Mario Pelchat sang a few lines from his success I am a singer, a capella, after being given a standing ovation yesterday morning in the Blue Room of the National Assembly.

After tributes made by Nathalie Roy, Christine Saint-Pierre of the Liberal Party, Catherine Dorion and Pascal Bérubé of the Parti Québécois and having received an ovation, Mario Pelchat pushed a few notes of his first success I am a singer.

“Just before, Pascal Bérubé texted me to tell me that Claude Dubois had already sung at the Bleu salon and that it was possible. I certainly wouldn't have done that in the first place. I was wondering what to sing and my hamster was rolling. I thought of this song, my first, which was written, near here, by Martin Peltier, in an apartment on Grande-Allée.”
