Ivanka Trump's brand gets the boot at Nordstrom

Nordstrom has reportedly cut ties with the Ivanka Trump brand.

The retailer told Business Insider that a drop in sales led to the decision to pull the first daughter's line off the racks as of Thursday.

The report said the company denied any link to recent boycotts against brands bearing the Trump name. Last year, a shopper asked Nordstrom to stop selling Trump's products.

NJ Advance Media reached out to both Nordstrom and Trump's brand for comment, but neither immediately responded.

Trump's brand includes women's clothing, shoes and handbags.

The brand name is still featured on Bloomingdale's, Lord & Taylor and Macy's websites.
