GPAINNOVA, a business group for solutions for finishing metal surfaces, once again broke its annual turnover record in 2022, reaching 26 million euros. This represents a two-digit percentage increase (12%) in relation to the 2021 figure, equivalent to €23.2M, thus chaining six consecutive years of growth and multiplying the 2016 figure by 43 (€600,000). This trend was accentuated in the last quarter, when it billed 52% more than in the same period of the previous year (€13.12M in 2022 compared to 8.65M in 2021). The organization consolidated its sales in the industrial sector and in international markets, achieving sales of machinery in 40 countries on five continents. Foreign trade had a great weight in business activity, since 95% of last year's turnover corresponded to exports. In the words of Pau Sarsanedas, CEO and co-founder of GPAINNOVA, the policy of continuous improvement and "innovation" contributed to the group "strengthening its international presence". The manager stresses that these results have been obtained in an adverse international context, marked by the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in February 2021; the escalation of the prices of energy, fuels and raw materials; the worst inflationary scenario in Europe since the 1980s, stock breaks and shortage problems, due in part to the confinements in China due to COVID-19. The GPAINNOVA data is explained by the significant increase in the annual turnover of its US subsidiary, which registered a record figure of $5.2M (€4.87M), three times more than in 2021. The company, based in Sunrise (Florida, USA), reinforced its commercial network by hiring specialized professionals to access new markets, including more Latin American countries. In addition, the company expanded its facilities in 2022 to modernize its surface finishing center in North America.
