Panel Sandwich, a Spanish company with six years of existence, in the Financial Times Ranking as one of the 1000 companies that grew the most throughout Europe during the period 2013 - 2016

A Spanish company called “Panel Sandwich Group” appears in the Ranking of the well-known Financial Times publication, standing out for its expansion and potential, as one of the 1000 companies that have experienced the greatest growth in recent years.

Panel Sandwich Group was created in 2011 with the vision of filling a gap and promoting digitalization in the construction industry, a sphere traditionally marked by rigid and slow processes with little presence in e-commerce. Founded by Oscar López-Blanco Ezquerra, who brought with him five years of experience in selling the 'sandwich panel' product, the group set out to innovate with a marketplace-based business model. This model seeks to improve accessibility and customer experience when purchasing sandwich panels.

Its model is fundamentally based on two key pillars. On the one hand, an agile sales process, which moves away from the usual marketing structures of the construction sector (in-person visits, fax, samples over several days, etc.). Through the “Panel Sandwich” website, the customer can request quotes within 24 hours, see different product combinations and track their purchase “on time”. All this in record time and with customer service based on trust. Secondly, a talented and committed team. The staff is the heart of the company. “We are a company aware of the importance of training, caring for and rewarding our workers so that they feel the project and success are theirs,” comments its CEO Óscar López-Blanco.

Thanks to its model, Panel Sandwich has managed to reduce costs considerably, being able to transfer it to the market through very competitive prices. This has allowed it to develop Know How and grow in a very short time, going from one million euros in turnover in the first year to three and a half five years later.

The company has a base portfolio of 30 products, with a multitude of combinations, which allows it to cover the needs of its more than 8,000 annual clients. Its products are marketed both in Spain and abroad, which currently account for 30% of annual sales. Internationalization is one of the short-term plans, with Latin America being one of the main destinations, where there is already a presence in more than 10 countries, a figure that they intend to double in the coming years.

Currently, Panel Sandwich Group is immersed in the development of a new platform that will be a milestone in its business model. In addition, there is a plan to double the commercial network soon. All this, to be able to meet the growing demand in recent months that has arisen thanks to new business strategies based on bringing the product even closer to the customer.
