- Rockwell Automation Announces Strategic Collaboration with Prometeon Tire Group to Transform Global Manufacturing Processes

MILAN, Feb. 28, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Rockwell Automation, Inc (NYSE: ROK), the world's largest company dedicated to industrial automation and digital transformation, today announced a multi-year collaboration with Prometeon Tire Group, a leading manufacturer of industrial tires based in Italy.
The objective of this program, which covers facilities in Italy, Turkey, Egypt and Brazil, is to enhance Prometeon Tire Group's digitalization strategy, increasing manufacturing efficiency, sustainability and technological advancement.
Under the terms of the agreement, Rockwell Automation will deploy its Manufacturing Execution System (MES) alongside ThingWorx IIOT technologies, enabling complete digital integration across all of Prometeon Tire Group's global facilities.
The project aims to replace current systems with a standardized and technologically advanced one. The expected benefits include the following:
Rockwell Automation's MES platform, enriched with industry-specific templates and leveraging the FactoryTalk® ProductionCentre® core, has been further enhanced by integrating the best-in-class IIoT capabilities of PTC ThingWorx and Plex Quality Management System (QMS).
This provides customers with a complete IT/OT solution, enabling seamless connection to enterprise platforms. This approach involves a shift in operational dynamics, moving to a more streamlined system that connects global headquarters, enabling more efficient production scheduling, more predictable quality delivery, and full automation integration.
