In Germany, judges have banned the deletion of a post on Facebook for the first time. A user had sued because the network had removed a post.

A German court has banned deletion of a Facebook comment for first time. According to his lawyer, a Berlin Facebook user obtained a restraining order from Berlin District Court. This prohibits social network from deleting a man's comment and blocking it.

In January, Berliner had commented on his Facebook account an article of Basler Zeitung and wrote: "The Germans are getting more and more stupid. No wonder, you will zugemüllt from left system media with fake news about ' skilled workers ', declining unemployment figures or Trump daily. " This comment was n deleted by Facebook with reference, user has thus violated guidelines of online network. The man's account was also banned for 30 days.

The user filed legal action against se measures. His lawyer had argued that his client had a contract as a Facebook user with platform: it could use its data, in return, Berliner is allowed to discontinue content that does not violate applicable law. Facebook has to hold on to this contract.

The decision is refore made on 23 March (document 31O21/18). According to report, it has not yet been delivered to Facebook.
