BOSIDENG presents innovations in lightweight down jackets during Milan Fashion Week with Eileen Gu, Coco Rocha and Leighton Meester

MILAN, Sept. 26, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Bosideng, the world's largest down jacket manufacturer, pushed the boundaries of lightweight down outerwear technology at its show during Milan Fashion Week at La Vigna di Leonardo, with appearances by global brand ambassador Eileen Gu, supermodel Coco Rocha and actress Leighton Meester.

Inspired by the Italian Renaissance and the architecture of La Vigna di Leonardo, Bosideng's collection infused elements of Chinese and Italian cultures. The show took place in the middle of nature trails and preserved the Milanese charm, presenting themes from the visions of Leonardo da Vinci. The collection redefined lightweight down jackets as “versatile, weightless, warm and contemporary,” breathing possibilities into Chinese and Italian cultures.

Eileen Gu, Chinese-American freestyle skier and Bosideng global brand ambassador, wears the new jacket, which marks her runway debut for a Chinese clothing brand: "Bosideng has elevated lightweight down jackets to new heights, revealing to me a world of untapped possibilities." Sharing the catwalk was international supermodel Coco Rocha.

In the front row at Bosideng were renowned Chinese actresses Caiyu Yang and Zhuzhu, along with actress Leighton Meester, known for her iconic presence in the television series Gossip Girl, all of them witnesses of creativity and innovation in Chinese fashion.

Technical innovations explore interlocking floral textures that adorn pieces with intricate artisanal techniques, breaking away from traditional "ribbed" stitching. Bosideng highlighted esteemed Italian lace craftsmanship and traditional Chinese Su embroidery, investing a minimum of 500 hours of craftsmanship into each piece.

Bosideng features internationally certified 700-fill goose down, creating outerwear that is lighter and warmer than traditional down garments. At the same time, three key lightweight warmth technologies were upgraded, integrating patented heat and moisture balance systems, the introduction of exclusive high-elastic fabrics and heat feedback technologies. These achievements signify advances in creating versatile garments suitable for all seasons in various settings and lifestyles.

Since 1976, Bosideng has been dedicated to outerwear; This relentless commitment has earned them global recognition, certified by Euromonitor International as the largest down jacket manufacturer in the world.

Bosideng has made successive appearances at international fashion weeks in New York, Milan and London for three consecutive years, collaborating with acclaimed designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Takada Kenzo. From pioneering the concept of down-filled trench coats to new-generation lightweight down jackets, Bosideng has consistently shattered the preconceived norms of the down jacket industry and propelled Chinese fashion onto the global stage, offering a new perspective of Chinese creativity.
