FCC Environmental Services, a subsidiary of FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente that provides comprehensive waste management and recycling services in the United States, has made a new acquisition in the North American market with the purchase of Houston Waste Solutions (HWS), one of the largest companies in collection of commercial municipal solid waste in the metropolitan area of Houston. HWS also owns and operates a construction and demolition waste transfer center in the city. The company serves more than 3,000 clients (restaurants, hotels, shopping centers, apartment buildings, etc.) with a fleet of 40 trucks and employs 70 people. With this investment, FCC Environmental Services reinforces its presence in the commercial market for Houston, as it did last year in the metropolitan area of Dallas with the purchase of the company Premier Waste Services LLC.
