-Lucid continues ahead: the American manufacturer presents new electric cars and expansion plans for Europe in Geneva
GENEVA, Feb. 26, 2024/PRNewswire/ -- Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID) is setting new standards for luxury electric vehicles and looks forward to a promising 2024 with the European debut of three vehicles. At the Geneva International Motor Show, which will take place from February 26 to March 3, 2024, the Gravity1 SUV, the Air Sapphire2 and the rear-wheel drive version of the Air Pure3 will be presented for the first time on the European market. The Californian electric vehicle company also announces expanded service offerings and an updated portfolio of its Air line.
What unites all Lucid cars is a patented technology that allows you to experience tomorrow's automotive technology today. It is characterized by short charging times (up to 400 kilometers in 16 minutes) and a very long range of up to 839 kilometers. Always combined with the elegant design and high-quality interior that Lucid is famous for. Naturally, these attributes also apply to the three new models that Lucid is introducing to the European market at this year's Geneva International Motor Show.
Greater expansion in Europe
Lucid is present in four key European markets: Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Norway. In these countries, the brand has established six Lucid commercial spaces, the so-called Lucid Studios. Located in prime locations, the studios offer an immersive and informative experience about the Lucid Air brand and flagship model.
To underline both the importance and commitment to its European operations, Lucid plans to open four more studios in Germany in 2024: Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart. There, even more customers will be able to book test drives and access the innovative technology, craftsmanship and driving experience that define Lucid. Additionally, the brand plans to significantly expand the European network of Lucid services, both with permanent locations and mobile solutions.
The most efficient electric sedan: Lucid Air Pure RWD
With an energy consumption of just 13.0 kWh/100 km according to WLTP, the new base model is the champion in terms of efficiency. With a maximum power of up to 442 HP/pk/ch, the RWD can reach 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and has a range of up to 747 kilometers. The electric motor developed and manufactured by Lucid and the new exclusive battery pack guarantee an intense and long-lasting driving experience. With a base price of 85,000 euros*, the Air Pure RWD is the attractive entry-level model of the Californian electric vehicle brand.
Electric SUV redefined: Lucid GravityThe luxury electric SUV of tomorrow: the Gravity accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, has a WLTP predicted range of more than 700 kilometers and a maximum power of more than 800 HP . This is made possible by the latest version of Lucid's award-winning dual engine. Based on an all-new SUV platform, the Gravity offers enough space for seven adults, including luggage, in a luxurious and comfortable interior. The innovative design provides an exceptional and enjoyable driving experience. The 34-inch floating screen with 6K resolution also contributes to this. Production of the Gravity will begin at the end of 2024.
Luxury meets high performance: Lucid Air Sapphire
One of the world's first electric luxury super sports sedans combines cutting-edge technology, sophisticated design and versatility on the road. With three motors for optional driving, the Air Sapphire takes electric performance to the next level. With 1,251 HP, it reaches 100 km/h in about two seconds. At the same time, it reaches a maximum speed of 330 km/h. The expected WLTP range is more than 700 kilometers. Other features include four driving modes, carbon ceramic brakes, a special aerodynamic package and a suspension tuned for the race track. The starting price is 250,000 euros*.
Wallbox and maintenance service included As an additional highlight, Lucid has updated the Air line portfolio this year and offers new equipment features for an even more luxurious experience. These include a wider selection of interior and exterior colors, including the popular Stealth style, which is now available at a lower price. Additionally, the Fathom Blue exterior color is now also available for the Air Touring and Air Grand Touring along with the Air Pure model variant.
Lucid has not only expanded the Air line, but will also offer customers new services in the future: When purchasing a Lucid Air, a Wallbox Pulsar Max charging station (22 kW) is included for convenient charging at home. In addition, a maintenance service is included for a period of two years (or 40,000 km), which provides additional security and complements Lucid's comprehensive warranty.

The Lucid Air Sapphire has an estimated range of more than 700 kilometers on a single charge. It has a three-motor transmission developed and manufactured in-house and offers a total of 1,251 PS.
3) Lucid Air Pure RWD: The combined WLTP range ranges between 708 and 747 kilometers (20" or 19" tires). Combined electrical energy consumption 13.0-13.7 kWh/100 km, combined CO2 emissions 0g.
4) Lucid Air Touring: The combined WLTP range ranges between 648 and 725 kilometers (21" or 19" tires). Combined electrical energy consumption: 14.1-16 kWh/100km. Combined CO2 emissions 0 g/per kilometer traveled according to the WLTP standardized test procedure.
5) Lucid Air Grand Touring: The combined WLTP range ranges between 783 and 839 kilometers (21" or 19" tires). Combined electrical energy consumption: 14.9-16.1 kWh/100km. Combined CO2 emissions 0 g/per kilometer traveled according to the WLTP standardized test procedure.
The electricity and CO2 consumption values were determined according to Regulation 2017/1151 and apply to the German market. Electrical energy consumption values vary depending on the equipment selected.
