Madrid, 01/15/2024.- Ciudadenergía and Master Battery have opened their doors to the 6th grade students of the CEIP Hans Christian Andersen in Rivas-Vaciamadrid so that they can learn in a practical and simple way about energy storage and the role it plays in ensuring that energy renewables are efficient and sustainable.

The visit began in the Ágora Room of Ciudadenergía where the CEO of Master Battery, Juan Carlos Hernández, explained the objectives of the visit. After the screening of a corporate video, a debate began on the consequences of climate change and the need to take seriously the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energies.

After the debate, with the support of multimedia content, the fundamental role that storage systems play for the efficiency and sustainability of solar energy was highlighted. At the end of the exhibition, the students were given a folder with a teaching sheet on how a photovoltaic installation works for a school activity on renewables and storage after the visit.

Next, the students, accompanied by Master Battery technical staff, visited the Expoenergía Room. At this stage of the visit, the operation of batteries, inverters, chargers and other energy storage systems for self-consumption was shown, with explanations adjusted to their academic level.

Through the Expoenergía multimedia panels, students have been able to learn about the evolution of the first batteries to current energy storage systems. In the Room they have also been informed of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7, which seeks to guarantee access to affordable, safe, sustainable and modern energy for all.

STEM Vocations and Respect for the Environment

Another objective of the visit is to promote STEM vocations among students, especially among female students, and the leading role that these degrees play in the renewable sector.

Becoming aware of respect for the Environment and the need to decarbonize cities to stop climate change has also been one of the main messages transmitted during the visit.
