Seville, April 4, 2024.- The Andalusian Commodity Exchange (ACE) will once again turn Seville into the world capital of cereal on April 10 with the presence of the main experts and agents in the sector. The event, organized by the Sevillian company Northstar Brokerage and celebrating its 14th edition, is the main private meeting on agricultural raw materials in Europe and one of the largest globally. The ACE aims to promote the exchange of forecasts from the different actors involved in the sector. On this occasion, it will bring together more than 600 attendees from 30 countries at the Barceló Convenciones hotel, including managers, exporters, importers, brokers, commercial agents, merchants and representatives of the agri-food industry. Currently, the sector is experiencing a context of optimism due to the growth prospects and more controlled inflation, although this evolution is also surrounded by uncertainties. Among them, the war conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, climate change, possible export restrictions or macroeconomic conditions stand out. To respond to these and other questions, a program of presentations by international experts will be held. Thus, Jerry Trenouth, Durum Marketing Director in Richardson, will address the situation in the durum wheat market; while Ahmet Sekeroglu, Head of Trade at Meke Commodity, will present the future of Turkish exports of this cereal. In addition, the analysis of the global outlook for vegetable oils will be carried out by Juan Andrés Baque, oil trader at Lípidos Santiga. For their part, to explain the cereal sector, two experts from Viterra Spain will participate as speakers, Jaime Fernández and Raimon Domenech, responsible for import trade and the national market, respectively. Meeting point and business forum Philip Werle, co-founder of Northstar Brokerage, together with Luigi Vascello and Pedro Villa, highlights that the ACE was born to "serve as a meeting point, especially for multinationals, companies and top-level merchants. Today it is a reference event and a business forum that provides information strategic, something crucial for producers, distributors and processors of the global agri-food industry," he adds. For his part, Luigi Vascello values that this is a unique event "not only because it allows us to take the pulse of the markets globally, but also for the creation of a business environment designed for professionals.
