American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy isn't the first to find the horror in politics in 2016, but this is pretty surprising. Murphy says that the seventh season of FX's extremely popular horror anthology series will be themed on the 2016 presidential election.

Speaking to Andy Cohen on Wednesday's episode of Watch What Happens Live, Murphy said "the season we begin shooting in June is going to be about the election that we just went through. So I think that will be interesting for a lot of people." He didn't appear to be joking.

When a surprised Cohen asked if there would be a Donald Trump character in Season 7, Murphy responded, "Maybe."

Previous seasons of AHS have been themed after a coven of witches in New Orleans, a "freak show" in Florida (which included this epic Tampa diss), a vampire-filled hotel in Los Angeles, and the lost colony of Roanoke, though it's unusual for Murphy to reveal the theme, which is generally a big, suspenseful piece of AMC's marketing for the series, this far in advance.

You can watch a clip from Murphy's interview below.
