Why sit home because you don’t want to spend any money this week? Here are five things you can do for free!

Today

Bear Mountain snow resort will be hosting a free indoor-outdoor Super Bowl viewing party around its Method’s Sports Bar, for all ages. Seating is first-come, first-served. They will have a big screen set up outside for outdoor viewing, with the game starting at 3:30 p.m. Specials will be offered on food, drinks and lift tickets, too. Tuesday

Want to see some dinosaurs? Admission to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles is free most first Tuesdays of the month, and the exhibits are really cool. Get there early when it opens, and it’s a good idea to go online and order free tickets. (California teachers, active and retired military and CA EBT card holders get free admission every day, with ID.) Parking costs $12 or ride the Metro. Location: 900 Exposition Blvd. Los Angeles. Friday

Check out Shark Lagoon Nights at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach. Next one is Friday night, Feb. 10, where everyone can come to the outdoor shark exhibit and touch bamboo sharks and see other types from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The entire aquarium isn’t free, just the shark exhibit. Saturday

Enjoy the 8th Annual Monarch Butterfly Day at Mile Square Park. 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Bring your children (ages 4 to 12) with families to learn about Monarch Butterflies natural habitat.
