SUPREMES MOVIE - the shooting of The film dedicated to NTM begins August 5 in the paris region. The actors Sandor Funtek and Theo, Christine, have been chosen to embody JoeyStarr and Kool Shen.

This is a movie project especially follow-up in the French rap. The filmmaker Audrey Estrougo (You, me and others) will go back on the birth of the group NTM, in his next film, the Supreme. Filming began on August 5, 2020, with a release currently announced in the year 2021. JoeyStarr and Kool Shen themselves are involved in this project that comes up on their journey. The challenge of such a long film lies, however, in the choice of the two main actors.

But on the Supreme, the resemblance between the actors and the persons they interpret is troubling. Theo, Christine and Sandor Funtek have been chosen to embody, respectively, JoeyStarr and Kool Shen. And these are not unknown to the public. Theo Christine has made several appearances on television, winning the role of Alexander Delano in the series on Skam. We have seen most recently in the mini-series for France Television on The last wave. For its part, Sandor Funtek, 30 years ago, has instead evolved in the middle of the film : we were able to see in The life of Adèle, Dheepan, K to the contrary or, more recently, in Worship. To announce the two roles, JoeyStarr has also posed on her account Instagram with two young actors.

Synopsis - At the beginning of the 1990s, in France, the suburbs are the scene of clashes in increasingly violent with the police. JoeyStarr and Kool Shen, two young people living in Seine-Saint-Denis, use rap to express the anger of their generation. This duo will give birth to the group Supreme NTM.
