This Hamptons home, which is on the market for $8.75 million, has the rare distinction of being able to appeal to both military history buffs and fans of Jerry Seinfeld.

In 1944, the estate, located at 45 Whalers Lane in Amagansett, served as a US Army bunker during World War II.

Fast forward some decades and its exterior was later featured in a 1994 “Seinfeld” episode, “The Hamptons,” otherwise known as the “ugly baby” episode, which introduced the term “shrinkage” into the popular culture lexicon.

(Yes, George Costanza, you were in the pool.)

The home was also featured in the 1998 film “Deep Impact.”

The 4,000-square-foot home, which was renovated in 2003, sits on 1.37 acres, including 228 feet of beachfront land — and comes with a pool, an upstairs deck with ocean views and an attached two-car garage.

Inside, it features four bedrooms, 4½ bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen and two fireplaces.

It was originally designed to look like a mere cottage to conceal its true purpose — to spot approaching ships Betpark and airplanes from afar.

The “bunker” part of the home has been reimagined in three sections: an upstairs section is now a cedar closet; the lower section is a den/sitting area; and the basement remains a bunker with steel doors.

The listing brokers are Corcoran’s Jackie Dunphy, Greg Schmidt and Tom Griffith.
