Nancy Pelosi still thinks she’s fighting against President Bush

Two Democratic members of Congress made some eye-popping verbal goofs during a single press conference in the Capitol, with one mistakenly referring to the president as “Bush” and the other saying Russia had invaded Korea.

“We’ve seen nothing that we can where – where I can work – with President Bush on,” Rep. Nancy Pelosi said during a news conference on Monday, prompting a wide-eyed response from House colleague Maxine Waters.

But then it was Waters turn to stumble.

Fielding a question about whether Trump’s actions were grounds for impeachment, Waters (D-Calif.) asked, “What are we going to do?”

“How can a president who is acting in the manner he is acting – whether he’s talking about the travel ban, the way he’s targeted Muslims or whether he’s talking about his relationship to [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and the Kremlin,” she said.

“And the fact that he is wrapping his arms around Putin while Putin is continuing to advance into Korea,” she went on, obviously meaning Crimea.
