Police investigate suspicious death in Etobicoke ravine  | Toronto Star

Homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in a ravine along the Humber River Recreational Trail in Etobicoke on Monday night.

Pedestrians walking on the trail near Islington Ave. and Bergamot Ave. called police around 11:30 p.m. after they found a male suffering from obvious trauma, said Toronto police Const. David Hopkinson.

The man had no vital signs and was suffering from injuries that were “quite grave,” Hopkinson said.

After an unsuccessful attempt to resuscitate him, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and homicide detectives were notified.

Police say they are treating the death as suspicious.

There is was no immediate information on the nature of his injuries.
