A small airplane crashed in Bayonne, NJ, Sunday morning, officials.

The aircraft crashed near the intersection of 41st Street and Avenue E around 10:10 a.m., Bayonne police said.

It’s believed only the pilot was on board at the time of the crash and rescuers were working to free that person from the wreckage, police said.

“A plane just crashed in Bayonne and literally just missed my house. I’m crying cause I’m so happy to be alive,” Kayla Emilah Tweeted just after the incident.

The cause of the plane crash in unknown at this time, police said.
