An 83-year-old Catonsville woman was found dead Friday when police and firefighters responded to a small kitchen fire at her home.

The woman was identified as Theresa Catherine Skurkey. Firefighters when to her home in the 6100 block of Regent Park Road about 1:30 a.m. when they received a report for a smell of smoke. They found Skurkey dead in the kitchen.

Police are investigating but said they did not suspect foul play.
