Returning to action on Tuesday, after serving a three-game suspension for slapping Joc Pederson in the face due to a regulation dispute in their fantasy league, Pham claims that Trout, due to his powers, could have ended the situation long before.

“Trout did a bad job,” Pham joked to The Athletic media on Tuesday. Trout is the worst commissioner for fantasy leagues, because he allowed a ton of illegal stuff and could have fixed it all."

Pham admitted, however, that Trout got the responsibility due to lack of interest from the other participants.

"Nobody wanted to be a commissioner, I certainly didn't want to be," Pham added. I have other things to take care of. He didn't want to either, we forced him. It was also our fault for having done that.

If Pederson and Pham offered similar stories as to what happened in their league, it was rather their interpretation of the rules that differed and led to this on-field quibble.

Pham, a former San Diego Padres player, also said Pederson made inappropriate comments against the California team in the pool's group chat.

Also according to The Athletic, Pham, an athlete who takes his fantasy football leagues to heart, would not have accepted the attitude of Pederson, who would have displayed a lack of seriousness, especially considering that the entry price to participate was $10,000.
