TRENTON -- Two Trenton police officers received minor hand injuries after an unruly man outside a bar struggled with them while being arrested, police said.

Adrian Pegues, 22, faces charges for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, improper behavior and obstructing.

Police were outside Rho Waterfront around 1 a.m. Friday when they saw a group of people involved in a loud dispute, with two of them looking as if they were about to fight.

When the officers approached, one walked away but Pegues began yelling and became unruly, police said.

Police said Pegues ignored the officers' orders and continued yelling, cursing and causing a bigger crowd to gather. He was told he was under arrest, but when the officers tried to take him into custody, he began fighting with them.

He was eventually arrested, but the two officers sustained minor injuries to their hands. Neither required medical attention, police said.
