It was just before 10 p.m. when Gloucester City police responded to Brown and Monmouth streets for a report of an armed robbery. The 40-year-old city man walking his dog at the time told police that he was approached from behind by three men.

According to police, one of them men grabbed the victim by the back of his neck and allegedly pointed a handgun to the back of his head. The assailants allegedly demanded the victim give up whatever he had on them before hitting him in the back of the head with a handgun.

The men allegedly fled the scene, but the victim was able to describe the trio who were eventually all taken Milanobet into custody following an extensive search of the area.

Gloucester City police said a K-9 unit from Pine Hill was called in and a handgun -- eventually determined to be a starter pistol -- was allegedly found under a dumpster on the D&N Machine property.

Arrested were Camden men Hakeem A. Davis, 22; Jamiere S. Wilkerson, 20; and Phillip M. Bantom III, 20.
