I wonder how many Trump supporters are experiencing some sense of buyer's remorse, considering this weeks' latest revelations about our new administration's Russian connection. I suspect the answer to that would be a loud "not so much."

If the economy keeps chugging along at a nice clip and the president can keep demonstrating some sort of progress on the economic front, his supporters will remain complacent -- and that's the real pity here, because in effect we have elected a one-dimensional president in a two-dimensional world.

America does not exist in a vacuum. From time to time, the world will intrude upon the American environment. When this happens, it's reassuring to know we have the commensurate leadership to deal with foreign policy issues.

These past few weeks should have demonstrated to the thinking person that this is not case with the Trump administration. Populating your inner circle with the likes of Mike Flynn, Sean Spicer, Kellyanne Conway, Steve Bannon and Stephen Miller is not a recipe for stability. The lack of transparency from this administration should be troubling to everyone.

This is very dangerous for the stability of our republic and the stability of the world as well. There is enough upheaval in the world without our president creating more.

Chaos as a business practice may have worked in the Trump Organization, but it is not applicable here. It is time for the president to clean house before he is swept away as well.
