(4) Northwestern Lehigh v. (1) Saucon Valley

Earlier meetings this season were won by the Panthers 66-6 and 67-6, so that doesn’t bode well for a competitive semifinal. The only question here is whether the Tigers can reach double digits. Maybe. Northwestern junior 132-pounder Colin Rex posted a signature win with a pin of Notre Dame’s Blake Daniel in the quarterfinal and could be one to watch. Prediction: Saucon Valley 65, Northwestern Lehigh 6.

(3) Pine Grove v. (2) Wilson

This went 45-27 Warriors when they met at the Anthracite Duals in January, and it should probably be about the same score again. The Cardinals defeated Pen Argyl 45-30 in their quarterfinal, and have enough top-of-the-lineup strength to trouble Wilson a bit. But the Warriors should score bonus points from 106 to 126 and hold their own in the middleweights to make a Pine Grove upset implausible. Key matches for Wilson will come from two freshmen, Anthony Micci at 132 and Kolby Flank at 220. Prediction: Wilson 40, Pine Grove 30.
