The Maple Leafs put Mitch Marner on injured reserve Tuesday, calling up centre Frederik Gauthier from the Toronto Marlies.

Marner was injured last Wednesday in Columbus, and has not played since.

Gauthier was centering the fourth line with Matt Martin and Nikita Soshnikov during the morning skate in preparation for Tuesday night’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.

The earliest the 19-year-old can return from a suspected right shoulder injury is Thursday evening against the New York Rangers.
