NFL scouts appear to be noticing the players in the Texas A&M program, even as the team has struggled with inconsistency in recent seasons.

The NFL announced that nine Aggies have been invited to the upcoming combine starting Feb. 28 in Indianapolis, including projected No. 1 pick Myles Garrett.

Other A&M players who have been invited include offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor, safety Justin Evans, tackle Avery Gennesy, defensive end Daeshon Hall, quarterback Trevor Knight, wide receiver Speedy Noil, wide receiver Josh Reynolds and wide receiver Ricky Seals-Jones.

The Aggies are tied for fourth among all colleges. Here's a list of the schools by their invitations.

One Texas player was invited, running D'Onta Foreman. It might be one of the best indicators of the Longhorns' skidding recent fortunes considering that Toledo had three players invited and schools like UTEP, Western Kentucky and Youngstown State had two invitees each.

Baylor and Houston led all Texas schools with three players invited. Baylor's list includes wide receiver KD Cannon, quarterback Seth Russell and center Kyle Fuller. Houston players headed for Indianapolis include linebacker Tyus Bowser, quarterback Greg Ward, Jr. (as a potential wide receiver) and cornerback Howard Wilson.

Defensive tackle Vincent Taylor of Madison and Oklahoma State and Knight, who played at Reagan, are the only San Antonio players to receive invitations.

Other players from Texas colleges who have been invited include cornerback Brendan Langley of Lamar, TCU defensive end Josh Carraway, TCU tackle Aviante Collins, Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes, UTEP running back Aaron Jones and UTEP tight end Hayden Plinke.

Here's a look at how the major conferences ranked in securing invitations.
