SAN ANTONIO — An upper-level weather disturbance will make its way through San Antonio tonight and early Tuesday, setting the area up for some heavy rain leading into a calmer Valentine’s Day evening, according to the National Weather Service.
NWS meteorologist Brett Williams said the disturbance will move through the area Monday night, with a possibility for between 1 and 2 inches of rain in areas across the region. NWS predictions show a 90 percent chance of rain Monday night, with a 100 percent chance on Tuesday morning.

Since the area has been particularly dry, Williams said he expects to see little flooding, but some low water crossings may be closed.
Williams also said there’s a chance of gusty winds and hail during this time period, as well.
As for Valentine’s Day evening on Tuesday, San Antonio residents should expect “cloudy and cool” weather in the mid-60s to upper 50s, Williams said.

As for the rest of the week, expect sunny conditions on Wednesday through Saturday.
Wednesday’s temperatures are predicted to be between 63 and 41.
On Thursday, the high will be about 67 with a low around 44.
Friday will be a bit warmer, with temperatures topping around 72 and dropping to about 52.
Saturday will see an even larger spike in temperature, with a high around 82 and a low around 61.

There’s a 50 percent chance of rain on Sunday, according to the NWS.
