Lufthansa: agreement in the collective dispute

After 14 strike rounds, the pilots union cockpit and Lufthansa have agreed on a new collective agreement. He foresees pre-retirement with 60 and ten percent more money.

Lufthansa: agreement in the collective dispute

After years of clashes and 14 strike rounds, Lufthansa and trade union Association Cockpit have agreed on new collective agreements for pilots. The agreement is still subject to proviso that VC members must agree in a new ballot. This is to be completed by mid-December. The cornerstones had already been agreed in spring.

According to agreement, approximately 5,400 aircraft leaders of Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cargo and Germanwings-based brands will be able to change to ir previous retirement at an average of 60 and refore two years later, and will have to bear interest rate risk of ir occupational pensions. In addition, salary increases from a total of 10.3 percent to June 2022, a one-time payment of 1.8 monthly salaries and more than 700 adjustments to conditions of Group Agreement (KTV) were agreed.

Lufthansa is committed to occupy at least 325 aircraft with KTV pilots by end of 2022. These are better placed than ir colleagues in or companies of Lufthansa Group.

The initial and possible end-of-payments for pilots were based on previous level, Lufthansa reported. Overall, personnel costs in cockpit are expected to drop by 15 percent. The changeover in pension payments alone will relieve group of a large three-digit million amount.
