There's something in air. Maybe it stays re, too, in air. But maybe it's knocking down.

Energy is discharged, where discrepancies collapse, and at present re is hardly any discrepancy to be had: one between big mes and small-scale politics. Certainly, it is task of politics to make big small enough to be able to take it into your hands. A arduous work, and when politicians are derailing because of all public disdain, and at price of grumpy features, y deserve respect, at least decent among m.

But global crises, whose contemporaries we are – every newspaper reader knows y are not listed again – do not fit into small-scale dishes that are now read daily. of improvements or renegotiations that SPD party congress demands of party leadership. In internal logic of politics, this is all logical and can refore be accused of badly, but it has already its reasons for fact that it is currently talking about a new need for utopias or at least of it to let gaze over horizon of given strip .

If an external event had been needed, it would be anniversaries of this year, number of which ends with an eight. 1848, 1918, 1968. It is common to m that ir me is former and future left. With times, what is understood under links changes, but tradition continues that left, always somewhat abstract, paints future and rights (in conventional, not pejorative sense), always more concrete than left, to respect what is better preserved . It is, more precisely, two ideas. In both cases, "movements" are spoken, but those are ones from which formations are supposed to emerge which are elections.

The conversation is a traditional left-wing and a not so traditional left-wing foundation. The first idea takes on more tangible forms than second one. Sahra and Oskar Lafontaine's calculus goes like this: at moment – for second time after Schroeder years – a potential in SPD could be skimmed off, but not by Left Party, but only by something third. For this new "collection Movement" (Lafontaine) re would be a basis in his party as well as among frustrated greens. Then forward a sounding name (you may guess), and off goes post.

What would we have? A national narrow left, as it currently looks. Mario Neumann, a young activist and oretician from Berlin, describes m as: "Their geographical and political horizon is national welfare state." A space in whose clearly defined borders a well-defined state nation poses "social question". Those who do not belong to it are granted asylum at best: that is "not a left-wing answer to globalized capitalism, but a declaration of bankruptcy", for y give up every universalist claim.
