US president Donald Trump wanted to get rid of him, now Andrew McCabe resigned as FBI vice director. This has long been speculated.

FBI vice-director Andrew McCabe, who had recently repeatedly attacked US president Donald Trump, is prematurely giving up his post. Rumors have been re for some time. Trump, in particular, criticized role of 49-year-old in investigation of Hillary Clinton's e-mail affair, which had been running against Trump in presidential campaign. The procedure had been discontinued at end.

The president had also incensed shown that McCabes wife Jill 2015 had received 700,000 dollars from Democratic politicians for an electoral campaign. However, donation was made before Andrew McCabe was appointed FBI vice and thus played an important role in investigation of Clinton e-mails. Jill McCabe had 2015 for a seat in regional parliament of State of Virginia, but was lost in election.

McCabes resignation would immediately take effect, U.S. broadcasters reported. Reasons for step were not known. According to US media, however, Trump has already tried to work towards a dismissal or discontinuation, which new FBI chief Christopher Wray, however, rejected. Trump's spokeswoman, Sarah Sanders, said resignation decision was "not taken in White House." McCabe is still employed by federal Police until March to benefit from his full pension rights.

Confidant of James Comey

McCabe, who spent more than two decades working for federal Police, is a confidant of former FBI Director James Comey. Trump had Comey in May 2017 surprisingly fired. The president founded kicking at that time, among or things, with FBI investigations in Russian affair – that is, on possible collusion of Trump team with Russia to influence election 2016. McCabe was also heavily involved in se investigations. After Comeys dismissal, he had also commissioned FBI before Wray was deployed.

According to media reports, Trump was said to have been on verge of rearranging Mueller's release last summer.

President Trump and Minister of Justice Jeff Sessions are said to have massively increased pressure on FBI chief Wray in recent weeks to make recasts at senior level. Officials from Comey period should be exchanged for new people. According to media reports, this went so far that Wray threatened to resign.
