MADRID, 25 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Airtificial has been awarded two civil engineering contracts in Peru through its Inypsa Civil Works division for around 1.4 million euros, as the company reported this Monday to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

The first contract, signed with OHLA for nearly one million euros, is part of the Comprehensive Plan for flood control prepared by the Authority for Reconstruction with Change (ARCC), an entity of the Government of Peru, and has a duration of six months.

The company has explained that the first contract includes the construction design of the comprehensive solutions for the Aluvión ravine.

The second agreement, reached with the Government of Peru for approximately 400,000 euros, includes the study and technical analysis of the safety of three dams, the subsequent proposal of provisions to improve containment measures and cover existing risks, as well as training courses. transmission of knowledge and specific engineering to local experts.

This second contract also has a duration of six months and its main objective, as Airtificial has detailed, is the technical inspection of three dams, specifically, Gallito Ciego, Tinajones and San Lorenzo.

The CEO of Airtificial, Guillermo Fernández de Peñaranda, welcomed the announcement, since "these new awards reinforce the positioning of the infrastructure business unit in a market and projects similar to those it has been working on in recent years."

He has also stressed that these are civil works projects with an "important" social and environmental component, since they seek to protect a large percentage of the Andean population from the environmental inclemencies that are worsening due to climate change.
