Cellnex sells 1,100 sites in the United Kingdom within the framework of the agreement with CK Hutchison

BARCELONA, 24 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Cellnex has reached an agreement to transfer a package of around 1,100 sites in the United Kingdom to the Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG).

In a statement this Monday, the telecommunications company explained that the agreement is part of the closing of the transaction with CK Hutchison in the United Kingdom, in accordance with the Final Commitments accepted by the United Kingdom Competition and Markets Authority (CMA ).

The transaction with WIG is expected to close before the end of the year, while the closing of the operation with CK Hutchison in the United Kingdom is expected in mid-November.

The deputy CEO of Cellnex, Àlex Mestre, explained that the divestment agreement reached with WIG allows them to face the definitive closure of the operation with CK Hutchison in the United Kingdom.

Cellnex manages a portfolio of more than 138,000 sites --including deployments planned until 2030--, in Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, Austria, Denmark, Sweden and Poland.
