Elon Musk intends to move SpaceX to Texas as he already announced he would also do with Tesla

MADRID, 15 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Elon Musk intends to move the domicile of the space technology company SpaceX from Delaware to Texas, as stated in a document to which 'Bloomberg' has had access from the Secretary of State of the latter region of the United States.

In addition, the billionaire himself has announced it on the social network he owns, X, formerly known as Twitter, where he has encouraged other companies to leave Delaware. "SpaceX has changed its address from Delaware to Texas! If your company still has it in Delaware, I recommend that you change it to another state as soon as possible," he posted.

SpaceX is not the first company that Musk has taken out of Delaware, since Neuralink already moved to Nevada on February 8.

The move to Texas offers certain advantages to SpaceX, given that it already has engine testing or rocket production facilities in the southern region, as well as a Starlink satellite manufacturing plant on the outskirts of Austin.

These movements follow that of last February 1, when the magnate expressed his intention to move the Tesla automobile brand from Delaware to Texas, after a judge in the first territory determined that the salary package of 56,000 million dollars (52,127 million of euros) that Musk received in 2018 as compensation for leading Tesla was excessive.

The judge then agreed with a dissatisfied shareholder who argued that said payment was not "fair" and that neither the billionaire nor the company had been able to demonstrate that it was justified.

Shortly after, Musk announced in companies even though it is known for being flexible with mergers and acquisitions or for not having certain taxes, such as the equivalent of VAT.

In this sense, 70% of the 500 largest companies in the United States are incorporated in this State, which is similar in size to the Basque Country.
