A Hellertown man is being charged with stealing several controlled substances from a borough pharmacy this past summer.

Charged is Richard A. York III, 22, of the 700 block of Front Street.

Police said York about 6 a.m. June 23 entered Yeager's Pharmacy, 654 Main St., and made off with various prescription drugs. Police then sent out a description of York.

He was arrested following an investigation this week and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief, as well as possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

York was arraigned before District Judge Elizabeth Romig-Gainer, who set bail at $5,000 unsecured.
