Kymco has launched its new super sports motorcycle on the Spanish market, the AK 550 Premium, which has the new 550 cubic centimeter (cc) twin-cylinder engine for a "more efficient, sporty and safe" model, typical of R sports motorcycles, and which It will be available, starting April 1, for 11,999 euros, with free registration, as announced by the company this Friday.

The new AK 550 Premium supercar from Kymco, which will compete with the Yamaha T-Max, has an in-line twin-cylinder engine with 50.3 HP of power and 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,750 revolutions per minute (r.p.m) set at the chassis, and the unique separate engine and transmission design. Kymco has highlighted that the transmission belt is narrower and is reinforced with carbon fibers, which saves weight and reduces noise.

In addition, to provide more safety, the motorcycle is equipped with the Bosch ABS braking system with cornering assistance, complemented by the front axle with 2 270 mm brake discs, highly rigid Brembo monoblock radial calipers, and 32 mm diameter pistons. and metal hoses. The tires, for their part, are Dunlop Sportmax GPR-100, which provide grip in dry and wet conditions, while the suspension is made up of a 41 mm diameter inverted fork, with the rear shock absorber in a lateral position.

Likewise, it has cruise control that is activated at speeds between 45 km/h and 130 km/h in the two driving modes of the motorcycle (sports and rain), real-time geolocation anti-theft system, navigation system and driver assistance. automatic driver (SOS), which issues an alert to the 112 Security and Emergency service in the event of a fall if the user does not answer in three attempts.

In Spain, Kymco is the third brand by sales volume, while so far this year until this Wednesday in the private market they have increased their registrations by 19.5%, up to 2,157 units, compared to a market that is growing by around 18.5%, with a share of the total of 7.61%.
