Musk considers that he is "overpaying" for Twitter

MADRID, 20 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and considered the richest man in the world, has acknowledged that he is "overpaying" for Twitter, should the acquisition of the company that owns the social network materialize for 44,000 million dollars ( 44,880 million euros).

In a conference with analysts after the publication of the Tesla accounts, the tycoon said he was "excited" about the situation of Twitter, stressing that it has "incredible potential" and regretting that "it has languished for a long time".

However, Musk assured that "obviously, other investors and I are overpaying for Twitter right now", although he defended that Twitter's long-term potential is greater than its current value.

In early October, a court ruled that Elon Musk has until October 28 to close the Twitter acquisition if he wants to avoid going to trial, after which the businessman and engineer expressed his intention to adhere to the original agreement to buy Twitter for 54 .20 dollars per share.
