MORON | Traveling in the company of the legendary Maradona is now possible thanks to the "Tango D10S", a private jet decorated with images and memorabilia of the Argentinian soccer superstar, who died in November 2020, who will notably travel to Qatar for the Cup of the world 2022.

The "Tango D10S", in reference to the number that the "Pibe de Oro" wore on his jersey and to his status as a god in Argentina, was presented on Wednesday at Moron airport in Buenos Aires in the presence of Dalma and Gianinna Maradona, two of his daughters, and several former teammates.

The "Maradona plane", with a capacity of ten seats, is decorated with the colors of the Argentine flag, blue and white, and features on its sides an image of Diego kissing the World Cup and another alluding to the " hand of God", that of his emblematic goal scored against England during the 1986 World Cup won by Argentina.

The interior is completely decorated with Maradona memorabilia and equipped with a system to interact with the voice and image of the “Pibe de oro”.

"I think it's a brilliant idea that he is like the best player in history," said 1986 world champion Sergio Batista.

"It will be (in Qatar from November 21 to December 18, editor's note) the first World Cup without the best player in the world, we miss him a lot, but for us he is always there, he is always mentioned when we meet, the boys of 1986, and we remember an anecdote or how he led us by the hand to win this World Cup”, he added.

This project was launched and financed by the company specializing in online kitties Give and Get, whose CEO Gastón Kolker explained that initially it will only offer private flights in Argentina with this device.

Eventually, the idea is to “take him to Mexico, to Naples, to Dubai, all the places that have been emblematic in the life of Maradona,” he explained.

For their part, Dalma and Gianinna Maradona welcomed this initiative.

“He would have liked that,” said Dalma, shortly before visiting the interior of the plane.

“It's not just any plane, neither for us nor for the fans. We can't believe this madness, the love they have for him transcends everything, it's magnificent, ”she added.

The plane will travel to Qatar for the next World Cup and will then be auctioned off to support charity, the company Give and Get said.
